UI / UX Designer / Design Director

Sun* Inc. is a digital creative studio boasting 1,500 engineers, designers, and strategic consultants in and out of Japan. Sun* was born out of the vision to realize Digital Transformation (DX–earnestly evangelized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry as the next generation of industrial infrastructure) through comprehensive solutions such as upstream designs, programming and development, and human resources growth. Using the same practical approach cultivated through product development for over 300 companies, Sun* promotes open innovation as a replacement for old-fashioned ways of thinking, and offers every necessary solution to reach the goal of DX.

Sun* is looking for designers/production directors to help create businesses and services in the startup scene begin from scratch. Rather than working on internal services, you would have the opportunity to help launch services for clients in a wide variety of industries. You will work with the development team to design, expanding your knowledge of new business and development fields. You will also cooperate with design teams in Vietnam. Responsibilities:
・Definition of design requirements with clients and partners
・Creation of wireframes
・Prototype creation
・Management of production schedule
・Design production

・You can design keeping the users and market in mind
・Your ideas don't stop with the main design; you can continue to propose new ideas to continue to improve a product
・You can collaborate with the development team and clients to brainstorm solutions for various problems

Must
・Japanese: Business-level (N2) or higher
・Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, etc.
・3 years or more of design or direction experience
・A portfolio of past/current design work

Ideal
・Design/Direction experience with a startup company/companies
・Development and programming knowledge
・Experience designing Client Journey Maps/Personas
・Experience using data analysis tools to determine possible suggestions for improvement
・Project management/other experience using task management tools
